The Department of Kinesiology at UMass Amherst offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of human movement. The graduate program is designed to foster excellence in research. The program offers research training in four areas: physical activity and health, biomechanics, physiology, and movement neuroscience. Dr. Alhassan’s research is in the area of physical activity and health.
Graduate students apply to the program to study with a specific faculty member. Your formal coursework plan will include courses (both within kinesiology and outside the department) that will establish the expertise necessary to further your research goals.
