Costs and Scholarships
Tuition of $2000 includes all Institute activities (workshops, craft sessions, studio courses, field trips, etc.), air-conditioned housing in a shared suite, and three daily meals. Once your application is accepted, enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. A $200 nonrefundable tuition deposit guarantees your space. Payment plans are available for remaining tuition, which is due in full by May 1. Academic credit is available; read more on our Curriculum page. The deadline to apply for a 2020 scholarship has passed. General applications are accepted until the program is full.
To support a full creative life for all, Juniper offers scholarship funds for individuals who have experienced socioeconomic disadvantages or discrimination, and/or who are citizens of underrepresented populations. It is our hope that this practice helps to cultivate a just, inclusive, and equitable literary community. Any details you choose to share in your application will help us discern funding distribution.

Many high schools and organizations provide financial support to students who want to attend summer programs; we suggest you check with your guidance counselor or a teacher to find out whether your school or a local organization might be able to provide such support.

These UMass affiliates receive a special $200 scholarship. Please indicate your affiliation on your application to the Institute.
