A major in Middle Eastern studies offers excellent preparation for professional training programs requiring an undergraduate liberal arts education.
Many of our majors have plans for a career that is directly related to Middle Eastern studies, such as public policy, government service, finance, intelligence, and law.
The major also prepares students for an advanced graduate degree in preparation for an academic career. The program has produced several Fulbright fellowship awardees. Alumni who have majored in Middle Eastern studies have gone to graduate schools such as Harvard University, Georgetown University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the American University in Beirut.
