Requirements to Earn the Certificate of Journalism
To earn the Certificate of Journalism, students must take a minimum of 17 credits in five courses, as follows:
- Journalism 300: Newswriting and Reporting.
- EITHER Journ 201: Introduction to Journalism OR Journ 250: News Literacy.
- EITHER Journ 460: Journalism Ethics OR Journ 445: Journalism and Law.
- Two other journalism courses. These are electives you can choose.
The Certificate courses can be taken in any order.
