The UMass Journalism department has announced 14 scholarship winners with the award winnings totaling $33,400.
Two students, Bella Astrofsky and Dean Wendel, won multiple scholarships. Astrofsky earned three scholarships - the Megan S. Daley Scholarship, the UMass Journalism Community Storytelling Award, and the Field Scholar award, and Wendel was named the winner of the Robert Crowley Memorial Prize for Excellence in Collegian Column Writing and the Chester Weinerman Collegian Journalism Scholarship.
