"Journalists are essential to maintaining our democracy – and I think 2020 has proved just how critically important our profession is. Now more than ever we need to hold the powerful accountable, seek truth and report it and establish trust between the organizations we report for and the communities we serve. Though reporting hasn't been easy these past twelve months, my job has never felt more important than it does right now."
