Christopher Muther, class of 1991, who's a travel writer and columnist for the Boston Globe, takes a photo in Hong Kong.
Chris recently wrote this story about staying in three Boston dorm hotels, including the Westin Copley Place that’s housing more than 800 Northeastern students ("Elegant or 'Animal House?'") and this one about taking his parents to Maine during the Summer of COVID. This one about Salt Lake City is an award-winner and one of his favorites: "America’s super gay, super cool, hipster haven."
"I grew up reading the Boston Globe. Never in a million years did I think I'd wind up working there. After I graduated, I worked at a few small papers and then decided I was done with being a reporter. But reporting wasn't done with me. Ten years after graduation I was hired at the Globe. For the past five years I've been traveling the world and writing about my adventures. My job is both the most difficult and the most rewarding part of my life."
