Major in Journalism: Information Session

Join UMass Journalism students and advisors to learn about all the opportunities available to you as a potential major. We offer classes in video, podcasting, writing, photojournalism, public relations, social media strategy, sports journalism, and so much more. Our writing and production classes are small (16-22 students), so you get a lot of individual attention and feedback on your work. You’ll also learn about ways to get involved with campus media outlets to help build your portfolio to land internships and jobs after graduation.
