Biography
Caroline Winter grew up in Amherst, and recently returned to the area from Berlin, Germany. For the past 11 years, she was a staff writer for Bloomberg Businessweek magazine where she wrote mostly feature-length articles on topics ranging from the microbiome of buildings to rogue doctors treating severely depressed patients with the party drug ketamine. She is also a recipient of a Fulbright fellowship (2008-2009) and a Knight Science Journalism fellowship (2017-2018). Beyond Bloomberg Businessweek, her work has appeared in publications including The New York Times Magazine and Spiegel International.
