Specializing in Literature and Literary Theory, Dr. Khalil teaches Arabic and English as Foreign Languages, Comparative Literature, Arab- American Literature, Narrative Theories, Translation studies.

She has served as a guest editor of Metamorphoses Journal.

Awards and Accolades

Dr. Khalil has received grants from the Institute of International Education (2002, 2002), the Fulbright Foundation (1996, 2003), and George Washington University (2003). She was a post-doctoral teaching fellow at Amherst College in 2008.
