The IT Program is happy to announce that UNIV 290C: Computer Competency Certification (CCC) is running in the Fall 23 semester for on-campus and off-campus students. This course is designed as an online certification for beginner and intermediate computer users. The course teaches and evaluates participants' understanding of computer structure, implementation, and culture. The information learned will give each student a foundation for computing in their personal and professional lives. The course covers topics such as hardware, production software, and digital living.
The 2-credit course is being taught by Ruth-Ellen Verock from the College of Education.
The course will also serve as a foundation requirement for the IT Minor.
