We offer courses that cover all language levels, a number of “bridge courses” that facilitate the students’ transition from language to literature and culture courses, and advanced courses on a variety of topics ranging from literary classics to Italian cinema, from medical humanities to regionalism in Italy, to food and culture.

Our students are strongly encouraged to participate in one of our carefully planned programs abroad, covering all academic levels and a variety of interests. They include an exchange program with the University of Bologna/Forlì, as well as CIS Abroad on the Italian Coast (Sorrento) and USAC Viterbo. Our study abroad programs are well-integrated into our curriculum on campus and credits transfer directly toward the UMass degree.

Feel free to contact our faculty members with additional questions.
