  1. In the SPIRE Menu, go to Enrollment > Drop Classes. The Select classes to drop page will open, listing all the classes for which you are currently registered or waitlisted. Alternately, on your Student Center SPIRE Home page, select Enrollment: Drop Classes from the other academic... drop-down list.

  2. On the Select classes to drop page:

    • In the Select column, select the check box next to the class(es) you wish to drop. Note: If you select the lecture class section of a course with a required discussion or lab, you will automatically drop the discussion/lab class when you drop the lecture class.

    • In the lower right corner of the page, click Drop Selected Classes. The Confirm your selection page will open.

  3. On the Confirm your selection page, double-check that you are dropping the correct class(es), then click Finish Dropping. The View Results page will open.

  4. On the View results page, review the status of your drop request:

    • A green check mark (Success) indicates that you successfully dropped the class from your schedule.

    • A red x (Error) indicates an error. Carefully read the message associated with this error, and click Fix Errors if this is an error that you can fix yourself. You will return to the Select classes to drop page. If this is an error that you cannot fix, contact the academic department that offers this class or the Registrar's Office (209 Whitmore, 413.545.0555) for more information.
