The iClicker Classic gradebook Reports function creates Session and Overall Summary reports in an easy-to-read and print-friendly format. The reports can be opened and printed using any Web browser. They can also be posted to a course website as PDFs.

View Reports

  1. In the iClicker Classic gradebook window, click Reports (icon below). The Report Settings window will open.

  2. Select the student information you would like to include in the report and the type of report you would like to generate.
    Note: For more details on the various types of reports, see Session Summary or Overall Summary below.

Session Summary Report

The Session Summary Report provides a breakdown of polling data for for individual sessions. Summary reports for each session contain individual question statistics, screenshots taken from polling questions, and voting data. 

  1. In the Report Settings window, select the Session Summary checkbox. Click Next. The Report Session Data window will open.
  2. Select the Session checkbox for each session you want to include. Click Next. The Select Destination window will open.
  3. The default location is the Reports folder inside your course folder (e.g., iclicker/classes/my course/reports). The filename for a session summary report includes the course name and session title (e.g., [YourCourse]_Session1.xlsx).
    NOTE: Each time you generate reports, the program uses the same filenames. If you choose the same location, the new report files replace the existing files.
  4. Open the report using a spreadsheet program. The report includes both the summary results and the details for each question. Choose a tab in the spreadsheet to view a specific question. You can print the report, edit any of the results, or save the report in a different format. 

Overall Summary Report

This report provides student information, such as name, Remote ID, total points for the term, point average, and number of points received for each individual polling session.

  1. On the Report Settings window, select the Overall Summary checkbox. Click Next. The Select Destination window will open.
  2. The default location is the Reports folder inside your course folder (e.g., iclicker/classes/my course/reports). iClicker Classic uses the filename overallSummary.xlsx for the summary report. 
    NOTE: Each time you generate reports, the program uses the same filenames. If you choose the same location, the new report files replace the existing files.
  3. Open the report using a spreadsheet program. You can print the report, edit any of the results, or save the report in a different format.
