Your Account & Accessing IT Services
Your NetID and password serve as your primary credentials at UMass Amherst, giving you access to the many services and features available to you, including SPIRE, email, campus networks, and more.
You can change your password in SPIRE, or get in touch with IT User Services.
Get Connected
Fast and convenient wireless network access is available across campus, including all residence halls. Members of the campus community are strongly encouraged to connect to the university's secure wireless network, eduroam.

Learn more about common scams and phishing schemes - and how to report incidents if you ever encounter them. When receiving suspicious messages or messages from unknown senders, UMass Amherst IT recommends that you:
- Verify the identity of anyone who requests your personal information. Never provide financial data or other personal information in response to an email or on a distrusted site or form.
- Report these messages to itprotect@umass.edu.
