SPIRE, VPN, and the other campus services impacted by the unplanned interruption reported earlier today, are now available. Our teams continue to monitor the campus digital infrastructure and will promptly address service availability issues. The SPIRE issued reported on February 6, 2023 have been resolved. We will continue to monitor the campus digital infrastructure and respond to issues as quickly as possible. Members of the university community may need to clear their web browser's cache for optimal performance. Planned Maintenance: Wireless Network - Weds., 2/1, 6:30 - 8 a.m.

January 31, 2023On Wednesday, February 1, between 6:30 and 8 a.m., wireless network connectivity will be briefly interrupted in several buildings across campus as IT performs important planned maintenance.  The planned outage is expected to last 3-5 minutes in each location. Network connectivity in buildings listed below will be affected.

Repointing MX Records from 15 Email Domains - Weds., 02/01

On Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) will re-point the MX records from 15 email domains from our on-premises mail servers to Office365. We will be repointing additional email domains in batches through the end of February 2023.

Microsoft will be hosting online training sessions to help orient users to Teams Calls and the greater Microsoft Teams collaboration space in February and March.
