RESOLVED: Blackboard Grade Submission Issues - Tue., 12/27

The grade submission issues reported earlier have been resolved. Instructors can now import grades from Blackboard into SPIRE.

8:20 a.m.

UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) is currently investigating issues related to grade submissions from Blackboard to SPIRE. Instructors may get an error when attempting to import grades from Blackboard in SPIRE. Grades submitted from Blackboard since Saturday, December 24, 2022 at 8 a.m. may not appear in SPIRE at this time. More updates will be posted as they become available. 

SPIRE Performance Issues Resolved - Weds,. 12/14

On Wednesday, December 14 around 11:15 a.m., UMass Amherst Information Technology resolved issues affecting SPIRE availability and performance. 
We are continuing to monitor SPIRE availability and performance to prevent further issues.

Microsoft Authenticator App Changes - Coming Thurs., 1/12

On Thursday, January 12, the Microsoft Authenticator app will receive a small user experience change for UMass Amherst accounts.

UMass Resources at MGHPCC Now Available - Mon., 12/12, 10:45 a.m.

Update 10:45 a.m. Mon., 12/12:

As of 10:45 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022, access to UMass resources at the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) is now available. The issues which caused this unplanned service outage have been resolved.

Two-Step Login for Retiree Accounts Coming This Winter

In late December and early January, UMass Amherst retiree accounts will get a new layer of security with Microsoft two-step login. Two-step login protects your account by verifying your identity using a second device when you log in.  

This security upgrade will be rolled out gradually in several groups. Retirees will receive an email with specific dates when two-step login is available for their account.
