Update 4:30 p.m.:

Teams Calls service for physical device Teams phones is now available, and issues reported earlier today are resolved.

If you are still experiencing issues using physical Teams phone devices (such as desk phones), please reboot the device (unplug it from power, wait for it to turn off, then plug it back in).

Update:

On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, starting at 4 p.m., Teams Calls service for physical device Teams phones will be unavailable as UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) teams perform maintenance to resolve issues reported earlier today. Updates will be provided on the IT website as they are available.

  • Physical Teams Calls devices, such as desk phones will be affected.
  • No impact is expected for Teams Calls users making calls via computers or mobile devices on campus wired or wireless networks.

As of Wednesday, June 4, UMass Amherst Information Technology (UMass IT) is investigating reports of issues affecting Teams Phones connectivity.

UMass IT strongly encourages users to avoid rebooting any Teams Phones unless otherwise instructed in the meantime.
