On Tuesday, August 4, UMass Amherst Information Technology (UMass IT) will be implementing an enhancement to Microsoft Defender for Office 365 to strengthen protection against phishing emails. This change increases Microsoft's ability to identify suspicious messages before they reach users.
While impact should be minimal, users may find legitimate messages occasionally delivered to the Junk email folder if they are identified as suspicious. If you are expecting an email that does not arrive, please check your Junk email folder or contact @email for assistance.
This update is part of our ongoing efforts to improve email security and reduce phishing risks across the university.
