UPDATE: SPIRE Available After Planned Maintenance - Sun., 2/19

The scheduled maintenance was completed ahead of schedule. SPIRE is now available.

SPIRE, UMass Amherst’s student information system, will be unavailable from 8 a.m. on Saturday, February, 2023 to 3 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023,  while Information Technology (IT) performs scheduled maintenance. 

Zoom Account Issues Reported - Thurs., 2/16 - Fri., 2/17

Some members of the campus community reported issues with their Zoom accounts starting Thursday, February 16 through Friday, February 17, 2023. If your account was impacted, you may have experienced one or more of the following:

Repointing MX Records from 49 Email Domains - Sun., 2/19

On Sunday, February 19th, 2023, UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) will re-point the MX records from 49 email domains from our on-premises mail servers to Office 365. The re-pointing project has allowed for the correct setup of SPF and DKIM records on all of these domains.

Members of the campus community should not notice any impact related to these changes.

Planned Maintenance: Printer Connectivity in Integrated Learning Center, Skinner Hall – Wed., 2/22

On Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, from 7-9 AM, printer connectivity in the Integrated Learning Center and Skinner Hall may be temporarily interrupted while UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) performs network maintenance. Wireless/wired internet connectivity will not be affected.

While minimal impact is expected, we recommend that members of the campus community who work in those buildings:

Repointing MX Records from 50 Email Domains - Wed., 2/15

On Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) will re-point the MX records from 50 email domains from our on-premises mail servers to Office 365. We are repointing email domains in batches to allow for the correct setup of SPF and DKIM records. We anticipate completing this project by the end of February 2023.
