Information Security Incident - Th., 3/24

The university is investigating an information security incident in which a hate-filled, racist and anti-Semitic flyer was distributed to networked printers and fax machines at several locations on campus.

SPIRE will be unavailable from approximately 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 26, 2016 while we perform routine maintenance. Note: Transcripts cannot be processed during this time.

UPDATE: Wireless Network - Th., 3/3

UPDATE: We had reports yesterday of intermittent wireless connectivity issues. We tightened network controls due to information security activity. Notifications were posted yesterday as we investigated. This impacted faculty, staff, and students in limited locations.

These are the same types of activities as others are seeing across higher education institutions. Throughout the evening and morning, we have had over 18,000 concurrent users successfully connected to the wireless network, which is normal.
