SPIRE Class Schedule Issues Reported - Fri., 2/2

Additional SPIRE issues reported affecting Grade Import from Canvas to SPIRE
UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) is aware of issues reported regarding the "Download Class Schedule" function in SPIRE. The Office of the Registrar has confirmed that irregularities with course schedule downloads are only found in the first week of classes.

Microsoft Teams Issues Resolved - Mon., 1/29

As of 3:45 p.m. on Monday, January 29, Microsoft has confirmed that Microsoft Teams service and features have been restored with no user impact.

RESOLVED: Network Connectivity Issues Reported - Thurs., 01/25

As of 7 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024, UMass Amherst Information Technology (UMass IT) reports network connectivity issues have been resolved. The issue began around 6:30 a.m., but was identified and fixed.

Planned SPIRE Maintenance - Sat., 01/27, 8 a.m. - noon

On Saturday, January 27th, 2024, from 8 a.m. - noon, SPIRE, UMass Amherst's student information system, will be unavailable while Information Technology (IT) performs planned maintenance.

IMPLEMENTED: Remote Access Software Security Changes - Weds., 01/10/24

As of 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) reports work has been completed to implement additional security controls impacting remote access to university computers and servers, ultimately requiring users who access Secure Shell Protocol (SSH/SCP) to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) from off-campus, barring any exemptions approved by UMass Information Security.
