Exchange Email & Calendaring Configuration Updates

On July 12, 2016, we standardized the way users configure Exchange email and calendaring on their devices (e.g., mobile devices, Microsoft Outlook, Mac Mail). When configuring, you will need to use in the email field, instead of This brings the configuration process in line with other IT services such as eduroam and Google Apps.

You will also be able to log in to the online Outlook Web App (OWA) with instead of Domain\NetID.

UPDATE: Telephone Service Now Available in Select Campus Buildings - Wed., 7/6

UMass Amherst IT identified and implemented a solution for the specific issue affecting some telephones on the southern end of campus today. To ensure uninterrupted service and address any other issues that may arise, we will continue to test and monitor the system for the remainder of the week. Moodle Unavailable from 7 a.m. - Th., 7/7

Moodle will be unavailable on the morning of Thursday, July 7, 2016 beginning at 7:00 a.m. for up to five hours, while we perform a scheduled upgrade to Moodle 3.0. If you experience problems with Moodle after the scheduled maintenance period, please contact the IT Help Center.

IT Staff Leadership Group Hosts High School Technology Field Trip

The IT Staff Leadership Group recently hosted 29 Amherst Regional High School freshman and sophomore students for a technology field trip on the UMass Amherst campus. The goal was to give students experience on campus, highlight technology use and share related learning and employment opportunities.
