Zoom: New Default Security Settings Available Monday, 5/16

Starting Monday, May 16, 2022, Zoom at UMass Amherst accounts will require at least one security setting. UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) and the vendor are making these changes to protect your Zoom experience from evolving cybersecurity threats.

Wolfram Alpha Login Unavailable - Weds., 5/18

On Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 1-2 p.m., the login required to access and download Wolfram Alpha Mathematica will be unavailable while IT updates the login experience. 

Planned Maintenance: Moodle in the Cloud Unavailable - Mon., 5/16

On Monday, May 16 from 9-9:30 a.m., Moodle in the Cloud will be unavailable while the service is updated to use UMass Amherst's modern authentication systems.

Unplanned Service Interruption - SPIRE, VPN, Other IT Services - Tues., 5/3

Services have been restored. We are actively monitoring the UMass Amherst computing infrastructure to address any other issues that may arise.

We have identified the cause of today's service interruption as a vendor-related issue. Our UMass Amherst technical teams are working to recover and update equipment configurations and restore services as quickly as possible. Next update: 2 p.m.

Tuesday, April 26 - VPN Login Experience Update

Update Tuesday, April 26, 9:30 a.m.: 

UMass Amherst Information Technology has received reports that some members of the campus community are experiencing difficulties accessing VPN. If you are unable to connect, please sign out and back in to the Global Protect client:

  1. Open GlobalProtect
  2. Click on the three horizontal lines menu button.
  3. Click on Settings.
  4. Under the general tab, click the Sign Out button.
