Microsoft OneDrive at UMass Amherst offers 2 terabytes of secure online file storage (with storage limit increases available by request) for students, faculty, and staff at no additional cost.
During a recent update, Microsoft inadvertently reverted UMass Amherst OneDrive accounts to the default 1 terabyte storage limit. Members of the campus community who have more than 1 terabyte of files in OneDrive are affected.
- No files or data have been deleted or lost.
- Members of the campus community who are affected by the issue may be temporarily unable to edit existing files or upload new ones, but are still able to view and download existing files.
- Microsoft is working to resolve the issue globally, but no time frame has been given yet.
- If you or someone in your area encounters an error referring to a quota limit, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for support.
Further updates will be provided as they become available.
