On February 22, 2021 a new fraudulent phishing message with the subject "Assessment: February 22nd" began targeting UMass Amherst email users.

The email appears to have been sent by "Nic Wegman" and asks the recipient "Confirm if you are free? Need you to run a quick request."

Caution: This email did not come from the University of Massachusetts. It is a phishing scam designed to trick you into providing your personal information or other things of value.

On February 16, 2021 a new fraudulent phishing message with the subject “Student Employment Office” began targeting UMass Amherst email users.

The email appears to have been sent by “Yongjoon Park” and informs the recipient “We are pleased to inform you about an available part time position of a Personal Assistant at 350$ weekly wages."

Caution: This email did not come from the University of Massachusetts. It is a phishing scam designed to trick you into providing your personal information or other things of value.
