Work on our planned infrastructure upgrade has been completed. Thank you for your patience. If you are experiencing issues accessing SPIRE, Moodle, or other services after the planned maintenance, get in touch with IT User Services at 413-545-TECH (8324) or it@umass.edu.

On Saturday, October 19, 2019, between 7:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., SPIRE, UMass Amherst's student records system, and Moodle, one of the learning management systems on campus,  will be unavailable while UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) performs upgrades to the campus IT infrastructure. Other services, such as email and calendaring, may also become briefly unavailable during this time.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to:

  • Follow updates on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Sign up for UMass Amherst Alerts, emergency text messages that provide time-sensitive notifications to subscribers’ cell phones.
  • Report issues to IT User Services at 413-545-TECH (8324) or it@umass.edu.

We appreciate your continued support and patience as IT teams complete these critical improvements in preparation for the end of the fall 2019 semester.
