Tuesday, April 26 - VPN Login Experience Update

Update Tuesday, April 26, 9:30 a.m.: 

UMass Amherst Information Technology has received reports that some members of the campus community are experiencing difficulties accessing VPN. If you are unable to connect, please sign out and back in to the Global Protect client:

  1. Open GlobalProtect
  2. Click on the three horizontal lines menu button.
  3. Click on Settings.
  4. Under the general tab, click the Sign Out button. 

 

Coming Soon: Microsoft Two-Step Login for UMass Amherst Services

April 25, 2022

Over the coming months, Microsoft two-step login will become available for members of the campus community, replacing Duo two-step login for some services. This security improvement will be rolled out in phases, and you will be notified via email when it is ready for your account

Planned Maintenance: eduroam Wireless Network - Thurs., 4/7, 7-8 a.m.

April 5, 2022

On Thursday, April 7, 2022, the eduroam wireless network will undergo planned maintenance between 7 and 8 a.m. UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) is making this change to ensure continuous wireless connectivity on campus. Most members of the campus community will not experience any change.

After 8 a.m., if you cannot connect to eduroam, especially if using a Windows device, please use the instructions below. 

Update: Resolved - Security Errors Logging Into University Services - Fri., 4/1

Update - Friday, 4/1, 9:30p.m.

UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) has taken steps to resolve issues causing security errors reported earlier. 

If you are still experiencing errors when logging into university services such as Moodle, email, HR Direct, and university websites, we recommend clearing your browser's cache. 

Update: Intermittent SPIRE Errors - Mon., 3/28

UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) has received reports of errors when accessing some pages in SPIRE.
