RESOLVED: Secure Online Storage (Box): Issues with Accessing Content, Uploads & Downloads - Mon., 10/19

Some members of the campus community may have issues accessing content, uploading, and downloading files using Box, our secure online storage service, on Monday, October 19, 2020. This is a global outage, not related to UMass Amherst. The vendor is working to resolve these issues. Updates are available from the Box status page at

New Login System for Adobe Creative Cloud - Fri., 10/16

Starting Friday, October 16, 2020, members of the campus community will log in to university Adobe Creative Cloud accounts using the same updated interface as they use to log in to Microsoft products like and Office 365 Email.

This change provides an updated interface and ensures continued compatibility with Adobe Creative Cloud’s authentication systems. 



Support for Remote Teaching & Learning: IT Service Status Page Launched

A new dashboard provides timely updates on the status of IT services critical to remote teaching and learning: Moodle, Blackboard, Zoom, and Echo360. Students and instructors can refer to this page when questions about the availability of these services come up.

Planned Maintenance: SPIRE Unavailable - Sat., 10/17, 8 a.m. - Noon

SPIRE, the university's student records system, will be unavailable from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 17, while UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) performs planned maintenance.
