Microsoft to Host Live Online Teams Calls Training Sessions for UMass Amherst Faculty & Staff

UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) is rolling out Microsoft Teams Calls to faculty and staff as part of our next-generation calling system.

Microsoft will be hosting online training sessions to help orient users to Teams Calls and the greater Microsoft Teams collaboration space in February and March.

Repointing MX Records from Five Email Domains - Weds., 01/25

On Wednesday, January 25th, 2023, UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) will re-point the MX records from five email domains – acad.umass.edu, acctg.umass.edu, admin.umass.edu, admissions.umass.edu and afroam.umass.edu - from our on-premises mail servers to Office

Planned Maintenance: Printer Connectivity in South College, Gordon Hall, & Crotty Hall – Wed., 01/25

On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 7-8 AM, printer connectivity in South College, Gordon Hall, and Crotty Hall may be temporarily interrupted while UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) performs network maintenance. Wireless/wired internet connectivity will not be affected.

While minimal impact is expected, we recommend that members of the campus community who work in those buildings:

January 13, 2023On Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) will re-point the MX records from two email domains – oit.umass.edu and it.umass.edu - from our on-premises mail servers to Office365. We will be repointing additional email domains in batches through the end of February 2023.   Members of the campus community should not notice any impact related to these changes.
