The network connectivity issues reported earlier on Saturday, August 17, 2019 have been resolved. UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) will continue to closely monitor wireless services to quickly address issues if necessary.

Google Apps At UMass Amherst Login Issue Resolved Weds., 8/14

UMail Switchover Deadline for Subsidiary Account Owners Extended to Tues., 9/17

August 7, 2019

UMass Amherst subsidiary account owners now have until Tuesday, September 17, to switch their account's email service from UMail to UMass Amherst Google Mail. After September 17, all remaining subsidiary accounts with UMail will be switched to Google Mail automatically.

Security Alert! New Phishing Scam Targets UMass Amherst Community - Sat., 8/3

On August 3, 2019, a new fraudulent phishing message with the subject "RE : No Subject." began targeting members of the UMass Amherst community.

The email appears to have been sent by "Kumble R. Subbaswamy" and asks the recipient "Do you have a minute?"

Caution: This email did not come from the University of Massachusetts or the Chancellor. It is a phishing scam designed to trick you into providing your personal information or other things of value.

IT Repair Center & Enterprise Desktop Support Move To Dickinson Hall & Re-open Mon., 8/12

Starting on Monday, August 12, 2019, the IT Repair Center and Enterprise Desktop Support, two critical branches of IT User Services, open in a new, more central campus location - Dickinson Hall (pdf), right behind South College. 15-minute parking is available next to the building for quick equipment drop-off.
