UMass Amherst’s license contract for the Hoonuit online learning service (previously known as Atomic Learning) ends Sunday, July 1, 2018. We will not be renewing the contract, due to increased licensing costs. UMass Amherst Information Technology (IT) is encouraging UMass Amherst community members to use the Lynda.com online learning service instead, which can be accessed for free with a Boston Public Library eCard.

Permanent Massachusetts residents, as well as individuals (including students) who live in-state for part of the year, are eligible for a Boston Public Library eCard. For more information, and to register for an eCard, visit bpl.org/ecard/

To access Lynda.com using a Boston Public Library eCard, navigate to umass.edu/it/lynda-bpl in your web browser and log in using your eCard number and pin.

A limited number of extended licenses for the Hoonuit service are available for a short time for users who need to finish completing Hoonuit trainings after the current contract expires. Contact the Help Center at (413) 545-TECH (545-8324) or it@umass.edu if you require an extended license.
