Construction Advisory: Find the IT Help Center in Lederle Graduate Research Center (LGRC) Lowrise in Fall 2015

UMass Amherst Information Technology and the IT Help Center are located in the Lederle Graduate Research Center (LGRC) Lowrise at 740 N. Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA, 01003. In Fall 2015, due to construction in the north side of campus, detours are in place and access to LGRC is restricted to certain pathways.

Pedestrian Directions

From North Pleasant Street

  1. From the center of campus, walk north on North Pleasant St., past the Integrative Learning Center, Hasbrouck Laboratory, and the West Experiment Station. LGRC is located on the west side of the street.
  2. Enter the building from the street at the southeast corner.
  3. Make a right in the first hallway. The IT Help Center is located in A109.

From the Campus Center

  1. From the Campus Center, walk north and follow the detour signs around the east side of Goessman Hall. 
  2. Enter Goessman, and walk straight, climbing one set of stairs. Proceed straight ahead. You will exit the building facing the Lederle Graduate Research Tower (LGRT). 
  3. Walk around the east side of LGRT and turn right to pass under the breezeway (look for bike racks). The entrance to LGRC will be in front of you.
  4. Enter the lobby and turn left for the IT Help Center (A109).

Note: You can also go around the west side of Goessmann if you prefer an outdoor pathway.

Directions by Car

  1. From the center of campus, drive north on North Pleasant St. to the roundabout.
  2. Take the third exit onto Governors Drive.
  3. Turn left in the Lot 61 for 15 minute and accessible parking. Additional metered parking is available in Lot 43 at the northeast corner of the roundabout, next to Totman Gym.

Accessible Directions

By Car

  1. From the center of campus, drive north on North Pleasant St. to the roundabout.
  2. Take the third exit onto Governors Drive.
  3. Turn left in Lot 61 for accessible parking.
  4. The accessible entrance is located at the end of the parking lot, at south end of LGRC.

Accessible Pathway - From North Pleasant Street

  1. From the center of campus, go north on North Pleasant St., past the Integrative Learning Center, Hasbrouck Laboratory, and the West Experiment Station. LGRC is located on the west side of the street.
  2. Make a left on Governors Drive (at the roundabout).
  3. Take the first left into Lot 61 adjacent to LGRC.
  4. The accessible entrance is located at the end of the parking lot, at the south end of LGRC.

Accessible Pathway - From the Campus Center

  1. From the Campus Center, go north and follow detour signs around the west side of Goessman Hall.
  2. Go around the west end of Goessman Hall. You will pass Marcus Hall on your left, Lederle Graduate Research Tower and Conte Polymer Research Center on your right.
  3. Turn right on Governors Drive, then take the first right into Lot 61 adjacent to LGRC.
  4. The accessible entrance is located at the end of the parking lot, at the south end of LGRC.
