Instructors should use this form to request access to a Moodle course and allow guests who do not have an active UMass IT NetID to participate in their course. Temporary Speaker access is granted for a maximum of one (1) week and enables guests to participate in activities with students such as online forums or chats.
- Only use this form if you need your guest to interact with students.
As an alternative to requesting Temporary Speaker access, you can set up Guest access to your course (limited to viewing course materials): see Guest Access to Moodle Courses.
- Do not use this form to request access for campus community members.
To request access for individuals who have an UMass IT NetID but are not associated with your course in SPIRE, use the Contributor Access to Moodle request form.

Creating Temporary Speaker accounts is a manual process, and can take up to three (3) business days. Once your request has been evaluated, you will receive an email confirming your request or detailing additional steps you need to take. This email will be sent to the address you give below, so make sure to enter it correctly.
