Since its inception in February 2023, the UMass IT Internship Program has provided opportunities for UMass Amherst students to gain practical experience in an array of tech fields - from information security and systems engineering to technical project management, research computing, and beyond.
UMass Amherst IT is dedicated to bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world experience for both undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about technology. We offer a diverse range of learning opportunities to broaden students' horizons and deepen their understanding of the IT landscape.
Our IT internship students engage in project-related work, allowing for the opportunity to work both part-time during the academic year and/or transition to full-time roles over the summer, accommodating academic commitments. Through on-campus work during the school year and immersive summer experiences, UMass IT provides students with the practical skills and confidence needed to succeed in today’s tech industry.
