The UMass IT Enterprise Desktop Support Group provides support for all faculty and staff in the following areas, but not limited to:
- Hardware/software installation
- Printer setup
- Internet access
- Purchasing advise
- Password help
- Network storage
The UMass IT Enterprise Desktop Support group will back up documents, desktop settings, IE favorites, Firefox and Safari bookmarks and email (contacts and calendars). All personal photos, videos, and music on university-owned computers will need to be backed up by the individual to a CD/DVD or external drives prior to our staff arriving.
UMass IT Enterprise Desktop Support group will provide support for standardized hardware which we are authorized to support and service. We will offer limited support for printers and scanners connected to the computers. We do not perform hardware maintenance on printers and scanners. Our technicians are available for consultations on purchasing hardware for campus faculty and staff use. All new hardware purchased will be setup by the UMass IT Enterprise Desktop Support group.

Application Installation Only
UMass IT Enterprise Desktop Support group will install from a site license at no charge to the department, troubleshoot, and provide limited assistance on how to use.
