The ATC provides a workspace and access to specialized software, equipment, and tools to improve the campus experience for the entire campus community, including: 

  • A 6 seat computer lab located in the W.E.B. Du Bois Library (Lower Level), open whenever the library is open 
  • Access to screen reading software, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, note taking software, and other assistive hardware and software
  • Consulting & support services available by appointment.  
  • Website accessibility audits using SiteImprove (for UMass hosted websites). To set up a website audit please email @email to start the process.

Trainings and Resources

  • The training Tapestry | Accommodating Abilities (Disability Culture & Identity) is available to all faculty, staff, and student employees. Trainees can expect to learn to identify and eliminate barriers to inclusion, examine and address issues related to discrimination and harassment and explore best practices related to workplace accommodations. The online training can be completed in approximately 30 minutes.
  • LinkedIn Learning, free to all UMass students, faculty and staff, offers numerous trainings on accessibility and inclusion, including a learning path built for Accessibility and Inclusion Advocates
