The 2026 UMass Information Technology Innovation Summit on August 12 will bring technology professionals from across the UMass system together to explore trends, challenges, and cutting-edge technologies. Hosted by UMass Amherst and centered on the theme Innovate with Purpose: Empowering Teaching, Research, and Community, this year's summit will include keynote speaker, Jason Snyder, Secretary and Commonwealth Chief Information Officer at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Keynote Speaker
Jason Snyder is the Secretary of the Executive Office of Technology Services and Security. He was previously the Chief Technology Officer at Harvard University. He has more than 30 years of information technology experience in government, higher education, and the private sector.
As higher education continues to navigate rapid technological change, attendees will discover how colleagues across UMass are turning challenges into opportunities, advancing innovation in service of their campus missions, and building a stronger future through collaboration.
