The 2016 Rudd-REFCA Conference - New Worlds of Adoption and Foster Care: Thriving on the Frontline is now accepting applications for poster and presentation submissions. Conference attendees are invited to submit an application to present a poster or a 20-minute oral presentation featuring their research or programs. Posters and presentations may highlight adoption or foster care research that has not been presented previously, or they may be about innovative programs or projects that would be of interest to the audience.

On Friday, October 9 UMass celebrated the kickoff of the Soft Materials for Life Sciences National Research Training Program (SMLS-NRT), marking an exciting new approach to graduate training in the natural sciences and an important opportunity to build meaningful collaboration between the social and natural sciences at UMass.
Faculty and graduate students are welcome to a research panel and reception to celebrate and welcome 14 new CSSI affiliates (including 8 new hires) who joined CSSI in the past year. Six new affiliates will give brief introductions to their research interests, and we will spend the rest of the time sharing lunch and mixing and mingling across colleges.
