Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeith Evans (Health Promotion & Policy) on her appointment by Governor Baker to the Massachusetts Health Council. Dr. Evans serves as one of two Faculty Facilitators of the ISSR Scholars Program, together with Dr. Ryan Wells (Educational Policy, Research & Administration). Dr. Evans used her yearlong fellowship as an ISSR Scholar (2018-19) to develop a successful grant proposal for a $10 million Justice Community Opioid Innovation Network (JCOIN) research project examining a pilot opioid treatment program for jail detainees in seven Massachusetts counties. We honor her scholarship and service, and congratulate her on this latest recognition of her leadership.
