Boston-based Barr Foundation's New Giving Priorities

After a year of review, the Barr Foundation recently announced changes to its strategic plan for grant-making. Barr is not making any seismic changes. Instead, the foundation is making certain that it definitively serves as "both stewards and catalysts." Spring 2016 Dissertation Research Grants Available from the Graduate School

The Graduate School is delighted to invite applications for its Spring 2016 Dissertation Research Grant Competition.  Approximately 30 awards for a maximum of $1,000 each are available to support dissertation research by UMass doctoral students. Funds may be used on a wide range of activities, including travel, field work, equipment purchase, transcription, etc. For more information, check out ISSR's Resources for Graduate Students, or the Graduate School's Dissertation Research Grants website.
