Instructor: Qiong Chen
Description: Non-parametric tests are frequently used when the data doesn’t meet the assumptions of parametric tests. This can be the case when you have both a small sample size and non-normal data. In this workshop, we will introduce the non-parametric equivalent tests for ANOVA, independent t-test, paired t-test and Pearson correlation. This workshop is designed for individuals who are familiar with SPSS interface and with parametric tests such as ANOVA, t-tests, and Pearson correlation.
Learning objectives:
By the end of this workshop, participants will know
- When to use non-parametric tests
- How to run non-parametric tests (Kruskal Wallis, Mann-Whitney U, Wilcoxon signed ranks test and Spearman correlation) in SPSS
- How to interpret SPSS output
