Factor analysis can be used to group variables according to their shared and unique variances. It is useful in identifying dimensions of an index/scale, understanding the structure of a large set of variables, and reducing the variables to a more manageable size. In this workshop we will introduce how to perform factor analysis using SPSS.
By the end of this workshop, participants will know:
- When to use factor analysis
- How to run factor analysis in SPSS
- How to interpret SPSS output
