Are you a faculty member preparing an NSF faculty grant, or just thinking about it? Do you wish you could ask your questions - great and small - to someone "on the inside," but aren't quite sure who to approach or how to make the ask? Please join us for this special session of ISSR's Funding Fridays for a friendly conversation with a senior grantmaker at NSF.
Dr. Jeffrey Mantz is the Program Director for the Cultural Anthropology Program in the NSF's Division of Behavioral & Cognitive Sciences (Social, Behavioral, & Economic Sciences Directorate), where he also heads the Dynamics of Integrated Socio-Environmental Systems (DISES) program. He is also a graduate of UMass Amherst (STPEC/Anthropology). In this session, he will share information about faculty programs in the Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences and other Directorates at NSF, and answer your questions about navigating the process of preparing your NSF grant proposal. We look forward to your participation in a frank and friendly exchange with one of our very own!
Please note: registration for this event is separate from our ongoing Funding Fridays series. If you wish to join that ongoing program of faculty grant development, we warmly welcome you to register at the full Funding Fridays event listing.
Private Office Hour Appointments: 3:15 - 5 pm
Following this seminar, Dr. Mantz will also be available through ISSR's Office Hours for brief, one-on-one consultations. Interested members of the UMass community should check availability and book an available 15-20-minute appointment here.
