The Institute for Social Science Research brings together experts from women and gender studies, sociology, science studies, economics, political science, and history to discuss challenges in studying gender/sexuality/identity using different research methods. This session will discuss approaches to queering a survey, investigating gender with archival materials, and thinking about validity issues in creating categories for research purposes.
