
Eric acts as the primary point of contact for global partnerships and is an integral part of the IPO senior staff team. He plays a key role for shaping and supporting strategy, facilitating international agreements, collaborating across units to develop innovative international partnership models, and managing the strategic collection and communication of data in support of the University’s global relationships and reputation.
Eric has worked in international education since 2001. He joined the IPO team after 15 years at School for International Training, most recently as their associate vice president for enrollment services with managerial oversight of study abroad and graduate admissions, international student services, scholarship and financial aid management, and the office of the registrar. A change catalyst with a history of building data visualizations to inform business processes, Eric brings over a decade of experience managing the relationships between faculty, academic leadership and engaging with external institutional partners while leading major transformations to leverage technology around CRM and student information systems.
Earlier in his career, Eric has served as a study abroad resident director, associate director of international education, program manager, and study abroad admissions officer. A graduate of UMass Amherst, Eric holds a Master of Arts in applied Hispanic Linguistics, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, and a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration. He has lived, studied and worked extensively in Spain, with travel experience in Canada, the Czech Republic, Cuba, England, France, Greece, Morocco, Portugal, the Netherlands, Serbia, Singapore, Uganda, and Vietnam. Eric enjoys languages, technology, traveling and cooking!
