Review the Understand the Education Abroad Application Process page if you’re unsure about the dual application process and deadlines. Start both applications at the same time. You only need to apply to one program unless your Education Abroad Advisor tells you otherwise. You will be accepted if you are eligible and meet the deadlines.
Submit your UMass Abroad
Log in to UMass Abroad
Search for your program.
Click “Apply Now” for your intended term.
Check the start and end dates if there is more than one application open for your term.
Submit your application
Your application won't be reviewed for approval until it is submitted.

Apply to your Partner Program or Exchange University
- Apply on their website. Deadline may be earlier than the UMass Abroad application deadline and late applications will not be accepted.
Questions about the partner program application? Connect with partner program staff.
- Meet with your Education Abroad advisor to seek nomination to your Exchange university.
- Your Education Abroad Advisor will verify your eligibility and give you application materials and instructions for the host university. Deadline may be earlier than the UMass Abroad application deadline and late applications will not be accepted.
You might receive notification of acceptance from your program as quickly as two weeks after you submit your application for programs with rolling admissions decisions, or as late as three months prior to the program start, especially for exchanges!
