Hi! My name is Arly MackRosen. I am a senior and in Spring 2022 I traveled abroad to Seville, Spain. I am an early childhood education major with a psychology minor. I had an amazing experience last spring while in Spain. I met so many amazing people and got to see and do things I could have never imagined. 

One of my favorite memories was the Feria de Abril which occurred during one of my last weeks abroad. It was an amazing event that showed the pride the people of Sevilla have for their city. It was especially amazing because my apartment rested right above the street the fair was on so we got to watch everyone walk by on the way from our balcony. Men dress in suits and women wear traditional flamenco dresses and skirts. My friends and I even went shopping and bought dresses to wear so we could get ready with our host mom. 

My advice for future abroad students is that even if they are scared to go somewhere they haven’t been to do it anyway because it is an amazing experience. This is one of the best times in life to go travel abroad without too many responsibilities getting in the way.
