The cost of studying abroad can be a huge factor in a successful study abroad adventure. Program fees can be more, less or the same as what you’re currently paying for a semester on campus. We can help you find a program that meets your budget!
How much does it cost?
When studying abroad for a semester, you don’t pay regular UMass tuition and fees. Instead, you’ll pay the program fee along with the UMass Education Abroad fee. This applies to semester programs and summer and winter term programs. How payments are made depends on the program type and term.
Financial aid can be used for study abroad!
You can use your awarded Financial Aid toward study abroad costs, including most scholarships, grants, and loans. There are also scholarships for study abroad and you can apply for alternative loans.
