About Me
Hi y'all, my name is Olivia King! I am a senior Hospitality and Tourism Management student and studied abroad Spring 2024 in Cyprus.
One of my favorite memories from my time abroad was playing a Mennonite game called Dutch Blitz that I brought with me. We ended up playing almost every night during finals week, and it became the perfect way to unwind and relieve stress. It also helped ease homesickness, offering a comforting touch of home. The game was always a blast—full of laughter, occasional tears, and friendly(not so friendly) shouting. I brought this game everywhere, played with new friends, in the airport, even with some strangers.Through those lively sessions, I forged some amazing connections that made the experience even more memorable.
One thing I’ll always say about studying abroad is that it’s a delightful surprise! Yes, it takes a leap of faith, but once you dive in, fully embrace the experience, and be yourself, the magic happens. For me, studying abroad was an absolutely amazing decision. It came with its share of challenges, but it also brought so much joy and fulfillment. I discovered new passions and insights I never knew I needed, and my life is now more vibrant and enriched because of it.
