In this session, you’ll learn the basics of scripting, planning shots, and how to harness the unique powers of video to meet your educational content goals. By the end of the session, you’ll have developed the basic skills to begin planning  your course videos.

This session will be dedicated to covering recording techniques and accompanying technologies. We’ll cover lighting, sound and acoustics, and framing. By the end of the session, you’ll be ready to set up your space for getting the best possible recording, and using the available technology at UMass.

This session will introduce participants to the free media editing software DaVinci Resolve. Participants will learn how to edit their videos, elevate videos through post-production effects like transitions and picture-in-picture, and export videos into a format ready for students to watch.

Now that you’ll have a finished video, this session will walk through adding your video into Canvas and ways to add interactive elements using EchoVideo and H5P. We’ll discuss the benefits and limitations of different options available. By the end of the session, you’ll have a video uploaded and ready for students to engage with.
